Sushi and Suds!

Friday night we got together with some friends and their babies for dinner.....It is so wild how our nights have changed! We had a nice time and all the kiddos behaved themselves...Thanks Jaime for taking pics. Jack was the stud out of the group of all ladies!
Elizabeth and Audrey are very used to one another and I have a feeling they will fight like Valerie and I used to as kids.

Happy Holidays!!!!

What used to be a little nursery with just a few items now looks like a gymboree! Elizabeth had a GREAT first Christmas -She did great with the busy schedule over the two days and that allowed us to enjoy ourselves. We had so much fun with our families & got a ton of great toys. We are looking forward to using them all when she gets a little older. Thanks again to Grandma & Grandpa (Wagner & Ruwe) and all my unts& uncles, cousins for such wonderful gifts! Hope everyone had a very safe Holiday.
P.S. Get better soon Lydia - we miss and love you very much. The Ruwe's

Ruwe Christmas Party

Elizabeth had her first Ruwe Christmas party! She wore a cute Christmas dress & was in a good mood at first. As the night went on she got pretty sleepy - Luckily, a lot of people were willing to hold her and Grandma Ruwe got her to go to sleep. She got to see all her cousins and Aunts and Uncles. Next year, she will be running around! It was a great party though and fun to spend time with family.

Baby, it's cold outside....

Elizabeth has been getting over a little cold and has spent many days inside with mommy - I keep telling her that when we do enter the world again she has to be bundled up. We were trying on some of her winter accessories. She was not sure about the mittens....but she is used to hats.
Hope everyone is having a great holiday season....we are having fun with our little girl!!!

Who needs Santa???

Friday night Grandma and Grandpa came down and brought Elizabeth an early Christmas gift. It is a walker/jumper rainforest that she absolutely LOVES! She is still a little small for it but she still gets SOOOO excited and laughs so hard - it is so cute. She played so hard on Saturday morning that she puked then just wanted a nap. When she wakes up we will attempt it again. Thanks so much Grandma...I love my new present!!!!

Pottery Playdate

Thursday some other mommies and I went to Color Me Mine - Which is a pottery place where you can choose your own piece of pottery and then create it into your own masterpiece! To my disappointment this store has no relation to the 80's pop group Color me Badd - I still had their number one song in my head the whole time I was painting. hahaha....
We went Jaime and Jack, Val & Audrey, and got to meet Emma - Lauren's new little girl. She is only 6 weeks old and a total doll! All of the babies were very well behaved ....We had a great time! Elizabeth and I made a 'Cookies for Santa' plate w/ her little foot print - it was cute. Her green foot all day was not that cute but it washed off in the tub. Here are some pics. of another fun day!

Jingle bells...wedding bells.

Saturday afternoon I took Elizabeth to her first bridal shower w/ my family. It was for Uncle Joey's bride -to- be Jen & it was a great time. It started off slow because it was snowing which made it hard to want to leave the house. Grandma was there and plenty of other people there to play with her so she was happy. She was very sleepy afterwards and came home to take a long nap with Daddy. Thanks Jen for the great bottle of wine...it will come in use. The bottle says " Mommy's time out" ..adorable and Val and I will make good use of them one snowy afternoond.

Daddy dressed me!

This morning Daddy changed Elizabeth and this is what he came up with- His T-shirt. He wanted to get her out of her jammies but didn't want to dress her in her 'fancy clothes' so THIS is what he came up with???!!!!! I had to take a picture & post it on here b/c it was so cute. I will have to be more specific next time I ask him to change her...hahahah....

I love Mommy's days off!

I love when Mommy is home with me all day! Especially since this tree has been in our house we have been extra busy with fun stuff. Today Grandma, Great Aunt Boo, Aunt Valerie and my BFF Audrey came over to make some Christmas cookies & candies. Luckily, I didn't have to help & Audrey and I just got to play. We are starting to really enjoy each other's company - Our biggest game is when we hit each other in the face. Our mommies tell us to stop but we love each other and are just playing. After all those people left I took a big nap...I was sooo tired. Watching Mommy bake made me sleepy.
After I woke up from my nap the kitchen was clean again (thank goodness b/c I hate looking at a mess) Daddy was coming home. He was in a place called Chicago and he said he went shopping for Mommy and I. Mommy did not get her presents yet but Daddy surprised me with a Dalmation! He said he was in a BIG Disney store and saw lots of great toys he knew I would love. I just hope next time I can go with him because I sure miss him when he is gone.
I better go.....I put a surprise in Daddy's stocking and I want him to see it.
Love, baby Lizzie
p.s. Thanks Daddy for my doggy...I love it and it is really soft!

Santa baby

Tuesday I was off and I took Elizabeth to the mall to meet up with Valerie, Aundrey, and guess who??? SANTA CLAUS!!!! I wasn't sure how she would react to a big guy with lots of white hair who when he laughed his belly shook like a bowl full of jelly. Turns out, she really took to Santa and I think she made a new friend. ( Always good to get on Santa's good side) Santa even made the comment that he wanted to keep her. Elizabeth was exhausted after her day out but we had a great time. Who knows...we may run into Santa again before the holiday season is over.
HO HO HO........Love, the Ruwe's.

Deck the halls ....

Friday night we put up all the Christmas decorations...I was anxious to start the holiday season with Elizabeth! She was so cute as she looked on while we were decorating....Every now and then she just would smile and coo at the Christmas lights. It was a fun night and one of many to come this holiday season.
