Cabin fever

For the past 2 days Elizabeth & I have not left the house due to the sudden downpour of thick white snow followed by a nice glistening layer of ice. What to do with a 5 mo. old baby when you are snowed in? Take pictures and videos of course. I have a small video of Elizabeth during her tummy time doing her trademark chuckle. She was laughing more before I got my camera out - but that is the way it goes. The other pics of her are of us just playing with some of her toys she got at Christmas. In a few weeks she will be sitting on her own..if not sooner. She is doing really well w/ trying to hold herself up. In no time at all she is going to be mobile..which will be very scarey & exciting!
One of the pictures of Elizabeth wearing the Notre Dame bib that (the alumni sent us)...In this picture she just got told "No boys" will be at her future high school.
The other pics. of her sleeping...b/c Cold days in = GREAT NAP weather.
I hope everyone is staying warm & having fun. We are having a great time w/ Elizabeth..even if we are going stir crazy.

It's like a heat wave!

Thursday the temps went up to mid 40's and Elizabeth and I really took advantage. We took a long walk at a park...did a little shopping...she even went w/ me to the car wash. She had a great day outside...it has been awhile and I was glad to get some fresh air. Hope everyone gets outside before old man winter comes back.

What IS this stuff???

Friday night Mommy & Daddy FINALLY let me have some rice cereal...I have started reaching for everything they eat and they finally caved. All I got what a bowl of luke warm rice cereal....Not to exciting but it was a start. It took us a long time to eat just a small amount but that was not entirely my fault. Mommy & Daddy took turns feeding me and taking pictures...They were making the process take FOREVER! I ended up with a lot of the gooey stuff on me so I got a bath when I was all done. I am looking forward to eating more soon....Gotta run..Mommy is coming at me with the camera again!

Come over and play Audrey...it's COLD!!

With it VERY cold outside...Elizabeth & I invited Audrey and Valerie over for dinner on Wednesday. Valerie was hoping for a snow day so we could have a slumber party...but to our dismay the weather men were WRONG again! We had a good time and the girls were fighting for our attention..it was kind of funny. While Audrey had a glass of wine w/ the 'grown ups', Elizabeth was more worried about putting her little doll " Daisy" to sleep. She is so responsible.
Hope everyone is staying warm...especially all those babies.

Personality....w/ a capital P.

Elizabeth is getting VERY funny...her facial expressions lately have been cracking me up. Here are a few that I managed to capture on camera along w/ some cute pictures w/ her favorite toy the glow worm.
I wonder where the little girl got her sarcastic expressions from?? HMMMMMM????

No more shots Mommy!!!!!

Elizabeth had to get more shots today at her 4month appointment! She was a very brave little girl...I however, not so much! She was fine after we got home and she took a nice long nap.
Current stats: 15.5lbs....( big girl! 75th % for her age/length)
She is eating well and sleeping well...and playing VERY well. Her favorite thing she likes to do is still her "Jumperoo" toy. She still rolls over when we have 'Tummy Time' ....and loves to laugh out loud at mommy and daddy when we make funny faces.

Cheers!

New Years Eve 2008 was spent at Joey & Jennifer's wedding. The night was full of dancing and laughing with cousins that I don't get to always see. We had a great time! Elizabeth spent her first night away - I knew she was in good hands with Aunt Jo and that allowed us to enjoy ourselves. We were quick to pick her up the next morning and could not wait to get her home.
Congratulations Joey and Jennifer!!! Thanks for a wonderful New Years Eve.
